FUCKING AMAZING.  Looking forward to nailing this quiz for you.

It's the question everyone hates, but could you tell us a little bit about your music and your influences?

How many folk answer this question by saying, "Oh we don't like labels and don't really fit one specific genre, we just write music that’s influenced by LIFE".  Shut up, you're a fuckin' indie band and you're influenced by the Kings Of Leon clearly.  But aye, Secret Motorbikes transcend genres.

What's your song writing process like?

It's a fuckin' pest cause we all work and are constantly shattered.  It's hard to be dead creative when we’ve all got burds and jobs to deal with.

What could we expect to see from a live show?

You won't see much but you'll hear our songs played ten times faster than usual.

If it were all to end tomorrow, what would you say has been your greatest achievement?

Someone at work once said to me "What's your band called again...Broken Skateboards!?"

What have you got planned for the rest of 2012 and into the new year?

We're supporting FIDLAR, one of our favourite bands, at the Cathouse on December 7th (tickets here).  They’re these daft Californian skater punks that say things like ‘dude’ and ‘rad’ all the time, they’re so good.  Then we're playing King Tut's Happy Noo Year's Revolution with our close friends Honeyblood and Baby Strange on January 10th.

At Scottish Fiction we focus on new Scottish music, how do you as a band view the Scottish music 'community'?

There are so many shite bands, venues and promoters out there, so it makes it easy to spot good ones when they come along.

What other Scottish artists would you recommend to the Scottish Fiction readers?

DEATHCATS!!! EP is a belter and James the singer has good patter.  ‘Bud’ by Honeyblood is one of my favourite songs at the moment and I hope they record it sometime soon.  PAWS' album is amazing.  We were at the first Baby Strange show (we call them 'The Jackets' cause they all wear leather jackets) and we were blown away by how good they were.  I think they’ll do very well.  I also can’t stop listening to CHVRCHES, that’s some real good pop music right there.

Thanks for speaking with us, would you care to share a joke with us?

Someone broke into my Gran's house yesterday and shat in her pot of mince.  It was a shame, she had to throw half of it out.
